GREAT NEWS!
No prior authorizations required for Most Chiropractic Services effective 1/1/2005
Effective 1/1/2005, Cigna Healthcare SC discontinued the prior authorization after the sixth visit requirement for Chiropractic services on MOST HMO and POS plans. This means that, as a general rule, as long as you follow your CNC contracted instructions and send claims to CNC, you will be reimbursed at in-network benefits levels per your contract with CNC with no paperwork or telephone inquiry hassles!
Remember to ignore addresses given on the telephone or on the ID card and send all claims to:
CNC/CIGNA
PO Box 2368
Cornelius, NC 28031
Please note that Cigna administers many self funded groups that may still require prior authorization
and/or a referral from a primary care physician.
Always inquire if prior authorization and/or a referral is needed when verifying benefits.
