how to join our network

Chiropractic Network of the Carolinas, Inc. (CNC) is headquartered in Cornelius, NC, and stands alone as the oldest and largest North Carolina based chiropractic IPA.  Incorporated in 1996, CNC began contracting to provide chiropractic managed care services in May, 1997 and currently contracts for over 5,000,000 lives in the states of North and South Carolina.

Our objective is to create a "partnership' environment between our network of Chiropractors and the managed care companies and PPO's with whom we contract.  By providing services including network development, network management, credentialing, central claims administration, quality and utilization management, and free continuing education for our providers, we can maximize efficiency and provide value for our providers as well as for our managed care partners.  CNC is fully staffed by dedicated healthcare professionals, including Provider Representatives to assist you and your staff with any of your managed care issues.  CNC does not subcontract any of the administrative services we provide.

If you are interested in joining our network, please contact CNC at (704) 895-8117 ext 2 to request an application packet.  (Please be aware that CNC considers many factors in making a determination regarding acceptance in the CNC network, including the need for additional providers in the geographic area  where the applicant plans to practice.)

As part of the application process, all providers must be credentialed per NCQA or URAC guidelines. Our managed care partners have delegated this credentialing process to CNC. The initial credentialing process takes approximately 4 to 6 weeks.

There is no fee to join our network  CNC charges an administrative fee of 13 1/2% against the allowable amount on each member's EOB.  The allowable amount is defined as the amount that the payor intends for the provider to collect for the service provided that is represented by a particular CPT code.   The allowable amount includes deductibles and co-payments that should be collected from the member.

By using the allowable amount in computing the CNC administration fee, this assures that CNC will only  receive the administrative fee for those services for which the provider is paid.

CNC encourages all participating providers to join their respective state associations, the NCCA and the SCCA.  CNC believes strongly in the value of our state associations.  The NCCA and the SCCA work diligently on behalf of all chiropractors in your state, not just the members.  The state associations need your support!  Please consider joining today!  For more information on your state association, please visit their web sites:
